Heron Arts is pleased to announce the group exhibition Embodiment past Amy Sol, Bakpak Durden, Carmen McNall, Chad Hasegawa, Chiaozza, Haoyun Erin Zhao, Hanna Lee Joshi, Helice Wen & Rubén Sanchez. Embodiment asks artists to clarify how the elements of design (shape, color, infinite, form, line, value, and texture) transcend the sum of their parts in a cohesive composition. How exercise they rely upon and inform each other to bring a piece to life. Haoyun Erin Zhao will give a brusk artist talk about her installation work at 4pm at the opening reception, which is Saturday April 16th from ii-6pm.

Heron Arts is pleased to announce the solo exhibition Alchemy from Bay Expanse born and raised, New York-based artist Erik Otto. Alchemy combines Erik Otto'southward curiosity of materials, his experience with grief, and the transformative nature of the spiritual and natural worlds. The opening reception for Alchemy is Thursday, May 26th, 2022 from five-9 pm. It is free and open to the public. The exhibition will be on view to the public until June 23rd by appointment only.

ROTATIONSHIPS is Augustine Kofie stripped downward to the essence of his exercise. Created over 3 years, the series reflects the artist's long-standing involvement in salvaging forgotten remnants of the by and elevating them by repurposing them with a futuristic artful. For years, the artist has obsessively collected, archived, and repurposed pressboard, a heavy, multi-ply paper stock used in packaging and office supplies from the 1950s to the 1980s. Previously, pressboard has appeared every bit the hidden architecture in Kofie'south collages, afterwards covered with layers of pigment, ink, and spray. In ROTATIONSHIPS, the only "paint" used is the colored pressboard itself; brushes merely employ adhesive and varnish.

Heron Arts is pleased to announce Okuda San Miguel'due south commencement exhibition in San Francisco, a new and refreshing collection of work featuring collaborations with major international artists. The exhibition Metamorphosis by Okuda, curated by the Castilian creative person, will exist on view at Heron Arts until May 11, 2019. Visitors can enjoy a pick of Okuda'due south piece of work, aslope pieces from a carefully chosen and surprising line-upwardly of artists. Heron Arts is pleased to present the ephemeral takeover past Portuguese artist, Bordalo II. This volition exist the artist's outset solo show in the United states of america and will characteristic a larger than life, all-encompassing installation including his signature trash animals, forth with gallery pieces for sale. The work will keep to explore the themes of environmental awareness and consumerism. Bordalo 2 will be in attendance during the opening reception at Heron Arts on Sabbatum, February 24, 2018. Thomas Jackson

Heron Arts is pleased to announce "Tree no. 1," a new installation past Thomas Jackson. Expanding on ideas he has explored in his "Emergent Beliefs" photographic serial, Jackson's piece volition juxtapose organic and manufactured materials to promote fresh perspectives on the complex balance between natural and manmade systems. The piece will feature a 15-human foot "Sango-Kaku" (Coral Bawl Japanese Maple) surrounded past floating LED grow lights and plastic accept out containers. While Jackson frequently works with organic materials in outdoor settings, this will be the first time he has incorporated living flora into an indoor sculpture. The work presses the viewer not only to contemplate our dysfunctional human relationship with the natural mural, but too to envision a sustainable future in which natural and man-made systems are integrated and intertwined, and more resilient equally a result. The exhibition will also feature a number of prints from the "Emergent Behavior" series.
